Asset lifecycle management begins from the design of your asset and continues until it has been decommissioned. The sooner you know what you have installed, the sooner you can direct your attention to the areas that need it most.
The process of managing the lifecycle of your asset must effectively address four distinct areas:
- OBSOLESCENCE - onshore data collation of components and the current availability and support levels.
- VULNERABILITY - offshore assessment of the system component status, spares and technician knowledge.
- IMPACT - onshore assessment of safety, commercial and environmental impact of component failures.
- RISK - overall assessment of each system. Used to highlight areas that need addressing.
For many Operators, offshore obsolescence studies are a regular occurrence but the output is often a large and static report. CORE can enhance the process of lifecycle management by using CALMS, a new product that has been specifically designed to modernise lifecycle management.
